Increasing employment opportunities, specifically for indigenous Australians
Our goal is to increase indigenous employment every year. We have built, and continue to invest in, a culturally sensitive workplace, starting with our recruitment and selection processes. We have multiple initiatives for indigenous Australian employment, for example presenting to students of the Northern Territory Aboriginal Health Academy program about careers in healthcare, pathways and support. We promote after-school work, and work experience placement opportunities for students.
Indigenous Workforce Strategy
Our Indigenous Workforce Strategy aims to increase the number of Indigenous staff and provide development and training opportunities. We seek to recruit Indigenous staff in urban, regional and remote locations throughout the Northern Territory.
